And so she found DJ’ing. Mia’s tastes are as eclectic as they are classy with a typical set spanning the spectrum of house, from minimal and deep, to electro, jazzy, funky and disco. Signed to the 'Sweat it Out' booking agency, and having just returned from a season in Ibiza, Mia has rocked festivals around the world such as Future Music, Splendour in the grass, Good Vibrations and Moche Ao Caloiro (Portugal).
As resident DJ for Hed Kandi in Sydney, Guaranara Beach Club on Salina's beach (Ibiza) and Cafe Sidney (Ibiza) she has shared the bill with names of note including Andy Cato (Groove Armada), Booka Shade, Joey Negro, Cuban Brothers, Daniel Steinberg, Metro Area, Yolanda be cool, Q-tip, Grand Master Flash and Duane Harden not to mention warm up, peak time and closing sets for most of Sydney’s clubs of note.
Mia has also been booked for her creative musical talents to play at various events around the world for names such as Bon Jovi, Dita Von Teese, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Absolute, Pravda (Ibiza), Verve, Paspaley Pearls, Es Paradis Collection (Spain) and White Ibiza (Ibiza). Recently, Mia was also invited to mix the 2011 White Ibiza sessions, the 2011 Guaranara Salina's beach sessions and to join a live segment on Radio Sonica Ibiza. A perfectionist also, Mia's hinting at her productions now being ready for release must mean they are pretty damn good.
